Societies and Forums

PLC offers many opportunities to its law students for widening their horizons outside the formal curriculum and for this purpose several societies and groups are active at Premier Law College. The following list introduces these groups that are available to the students to take part in.

At PLC outstanding students have been engaged in and have the opportunity to work for international organizations like:

• Amnesty International
• Human Rights Society of Pakistan / HRCP
• Commonwealth Legal Education Association
• Law Asia
• ICRC
• PRCS

Event Management Society

This is a focal point for various student activities, such as book review sessions, researches and discussions, lectures by guest speakers, study tours etc. One of the main tasks of this society is to give expression to the intellectual aspirations of the student body. It provides a platform for focused discussions on a wide range of issues. It contributes to enliven the academic environment at campus. Its membership is open to all PLC students.

Literary Society

The Literary Society brings together aspiring writers of all kinds and caters to all those interested in literature. The Society also helps students to identify their creativities and provides channels for expressing them. The society also produces the yearly college magazine, and bi-yearly newsletter. Organizing presentations. poetry recitation competitions, writing competitions all are hallmark activities of this society.

Debating Society

Debates are a central part of student life at PLC. The Debating Society is open to all students who apply to be member of its executive body. The activities of the Society take place throughout the academic session. These include the inter-class debates in which all classes compete with each other for the best debaters of the year. The competition is judged by imminent personalities and a chief guest is specially invited to award the prizes to the successful debaters.

Mooting Society

Mooting has been the traditional activity of Law Schools, which contribute immensely towards a law student’s practical understanding and application of law. The society is conducting an inter- collegiate Moot Court Competition amongst Law Colleges. Students who are interested in being part of the Mooting Society are recommended to apply in writing.

Sports Society

The main objective of this society is to promote sports activities amongst the student of Premier Law College. The society organizes sports activities on regular basis at the campus and outside the campus. All of the activities under this society are organized and executed by the students of PLC.

Blood Donor Society

Blood Donors Society organizes various Campaigns and activities to create awareness about the
importance of donating blood. The society in collaboration with other similar groups arranges
blood donation campaign at the Blood Donor’s Day.
